Jr Game Designer/Narrative Designer
February 2017 - present
General assistance in designing an as-yet-unannounced game with a focus on Narrative Design.
Generalist Video Game Designer
September 2017 - March 2018
• Working in a small team of 6, specialising in level design, QA, and document creation and maintenance.
• Level design work is for a 3D, semi-puzzle, educational platformer for local schools. The game included some use of Unity 5, as well as level editing software developed by Metia. The designs were based on specific criteria, and have allowed me to develop my ability to take critique and adapt my work as needed.
• The document work included conceptualising a sidescrolling game, based on an existing IP, along with the rest of the team. This was followed by writing the GDD for the game as development began, updating it as need be, and ensuring the document is clear in portraying the designs included.
• The QA work was carried out on both the educational game, and an interactive fiction game that the sidescroller is based on.
• The job has also included market research for both the educational game, and the interactive fiction game.
